Ramps: The Exchange club of Wythe constructs handicapped ramps based on candidates
selected by the city of Hampton (ten per year). Ramps are generally constructed on the last Saturday of the month during the
months of January through October.
Crime Prevention: The Exchange Club of Wythe participates in the Annual Crime Prevention
Banquet usually held in February. The club also presents awards to the Hampton Sheriff's Office at a meeting.
Fire Prevention: The club presents educational fire prevention programs at
its meetings as well as providing financial assistance to the Hampton Fire Department as needed. The club participates in
the Hampton Fire Department Five Alarm Chili Cook-off, earning the "Golden Bowl" award in 2009. Additionally, the

Book of Golden Deeds: Volunteer efforts are very important to our society and should
not go unnoticed. The National Exchange Club’s longest running project, the Book of Golden Deeds Award, recognizes dedicated
volunteers who give endless hours of their time and talents toward making their communities better places to live. Ever since
the Exchange Club of Huntington, Ind., sponsored the first award in 1919, thousands of unsung heroes and heroines have been
recognized.

homes.

Adopt-A-Spot: The Exchange Club of Wythe picks up trash on Hampton Roads Center
Parkway between Coliseum Drive and Magruder Boulevard five times a year.
Special Projects: One of the club's most recent and highly successful special
projects is the Mayor's Book Club.
